Different strokes
Crimson, the Art Resource, is hosting an exhibition by Delhi-based artist Anwar at Crimson, The Hatworks Boulevard, 32, Cunningham Road till December 3 from 11 am to 7 pm.

Ananya is organising Nirantara — a new festival series. As part of this, a bharatanatyam recital by Nirupama Rajendra, Mridula Rao and Harini J will be presented.

There will also be a music ensemble by Srivatsava, Lingaraju, Vivek, Praveen Kumar, Amrith Kumar, Sarfaraaz Khan on November 11, 6.30 pm. The venue is Seva Sadan, 14th Cross, Malleswaram.

‘Horizon series’
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations in collaboration with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan will be presenting an odissi dance recital by Rahul Acharya on November 12, 6.30 pm at The Khincha Auditorium, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Race Course Road. The performance is part of ‘Horizon series’. 

The ‘Eighth Annual Winter Dance Festival’ will be held till December 4 at Just Dance, 55, 3rd Floor, Coles Road, Fraser Town. ‘DanSe Dialogues’
The French Embassy in India is presenting its new initiative: the first Indo-French contemporary dance festival. Called ‘DanSe Dialogues’, the festival will be held till November 12 and will feature dance companies from France representing different trends.

‘Mars’ and ‘Chittara’ by Nritarutya will be performing on November 10, MeiDhwani by Attakkalari, will be performed on November 11 and ‘Transports Exceptionnels’ by D Boivin will be held on November 12. All the performances will be at 7 pm and are open to all. Passes for all the events will be available at the Alliance Française, Attakkalari, Nritarutya and Natya Stem or at the venue – JSS Auditorium, 1st Main, 8th Block, Jayanagar.

‘Kala Nadam’

Curio Cottage is holding an exhibition on November 11 and 12 at Raintree, Sankey Road. Curio Cottage designs are all about bringing contrasts together to create artful pieces that vary from established classics to lavish luxuries embellished uncompromisingly and hand-made by specialised craftsmen and a team of in-house designers.

‘Brace Embrace’

‘Dhaam Dhoom...’
Dhaam Dhoom Suntaragaali, an AHA! production, will be staged from November 8 to 12, 7.30 pm. There will be a matinee show at 3.30 pm on November 12. Based on Shakespeare’s ‘Tempest’ and adapted by T Vaidehi for children, ‘Dhaam Dhoom’ enthralls both adults and children alike and has seen 30 successful shows.

Family and war
The play, ‘An Arrangement of Shoes’, a Theatre Counteract Production will be staged on November 15 and 16, 7.30 pm at Ranga Sha­nkara. The play is directed and produced by Vivek V Narayan. 'Haasya Mela'
Antharanga, a creative amateur theatre group, is organising 11th version of Haasya Mela on November 13 from 10 am to 8 pm at JSS Auditorium, 8th Block, Jayanagar. This will be followed by a five-day theatre festival ‘Rangollasa Utsava’ till November 20 at K H Kalasoudha, Hanumanthanagar. ‘Flights of Fantasy’
Ganjam presents ‘Flights of Fantasy,’ a three-day Carnatic music festival featuring some of India’s finest musicians, will be held from Nove­mber 18 to 20 at Chowdiah Me­morial Hall. The festival will feature performances by Carnatic musicians including a violin duet by siblings Mysore Nagaraj and Manjunath on No­vember 18, and vocal rec­itals by Sikkil Gurucharan on November 19 and Sri Abhis­hek Raghuram on November 20. 

'Adaab Rafi'
Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar is organising a musical evening called Adaab Rafi, based on the songs of virtuoso Mohammed Rafi which were rendered for legendary composers such as Naushad, Roshan, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Shankar Jaikishan, Madan Mohan etc. The event will be held at Chowdiah Memorial Hall on November 11, 6 pm. Annual festival
The ‘Nadasurabhi Annual Festival’ will be held from November 10 to 13 at the main auditorium, St John’s Medical College Campus, opposite BDA Complex, 100 feet Road, Koramangala.

This year Sursagar is celebrating its 30th Varshikotsav, in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, at Chowdiah Memorial Hall on November 13. It will feature a sitar recital by Ustad Shahid Parvez at 10.30 am and a vocal recital by Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar at 6.30 pm.

Hindustani recital
Ananya is presenting Hindustani recitals at Ananya Sabhangana, 4th Main, Malleswaram on November 12, 6 pm. On the occasion, there will be harmonium solo by Ravindra Katoti (disciple of Pt Rambhau Bijapure) and vocal recital by Indhudhar Nirodi (disciple of Pt K G Ginde).

M A Narasimhachar Music Foundation is  organising the 10th Annual Music Festival till November 13 at Bangalore Gayana Samaj Hall. The concert will start at 6 pm everyday.
