'Tiger might have returned to forest'

Last Updated 09 November 2011, 17:55 IST

The tiger has made no appearances in the area over the last two days. Based on this it is suspected that the tiger must have fled from South Kodagu.

The tiger had not waged any attack after its attack on an expectant cow at Konangeri on Sunday night.

Vigil continue

However, the forest officials continue to guard the villages where the tiger had made appearances. Since the families in the region too have been staying awake lighting fire near cowshed, bursting crackers to scare the tiger, it is believed that the tiger must have gone back to its habitat.

Even after 15 days, the Forest officials are clueless over the whereabouts of the tiger, which unleashed terror in the region by attacking the cattle and other animals.
