'Tainted' professor transferred

The State government has issued the transfer order, even as Saritha, the victim, continued her protests and the inquiry is on.

The complaint committee against sexual harassment had inquired into the case and found the professor guilty. The University set up another committee to probe the case.

But, so far no action has been taken on the reports of the committees.

Instead, Shivabasavaiah was appointed head of Prasaranga, the publication wing of the university.

Meanwhile, Saritha, her family members and activists of some women’s organisations have continued their protests, seeking action against the professor.
