JOIN USA bench of justices P Sathasivam and Jasti Chelameswar allowed the plea of her counsel Kiran Suri, who submitted that the petitioner wanted to file fresh application.
The court dismissed the application as withdrawn. The appeal Shubha had filed will come up for hearing at a date fixed by the court later.
In her appeal, Shubha challenged the Karnataka High Court’s order upholding the life sentence awarded to her and three others by a trial court .
B V Girish, Shubha’s fiancé and a software engineer with Intel, was murdered on December 3. Shubha, her boy friend Arun Verma, his cousin Dinesh and Venkatesh were chargesheeted by police for the crime.
Shubha (28), her boyfriend Arun Verma and Dinesh conspired to murder Girish, after her father forced her to marry the latter having learnt about her affair.
