Setty seeks anticipatory bail

Setty is one of the accused, along with former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa in a complaint filed by Sirajin Basha, alleging illegal denotification of land.

In his petition, Setty said he was the fifth accused in the second private complaint and pleaded for anticipatory bail, saying, the role played by him is of much lesser gravity than the main accused.

Setty also contended that he should be granted bail, since Yeddyurappa, the main accused in the case, had been granted anticipatory bail.

Yeddyurappa, his sons and son-in-law were granted anticipatory bail by a single judge on Wednesday, in two private complaints filed in the Special Lokayukta Court by Basha.
