She was speaking at a meeting organised at ZP auditorium in the city. She said that there seems to be a lack of coordination among the department of disabled welfare and various other departments. The departments should take note of the seriousness of the issue and see to it that the obstacles are cleared.

Continuing she said most of the departments are yet to prepare action plans. In some cases, the officers also lack adequate information on the particular reservation facility.

Suneetha Veerappagowda gave a deadline of one month for the department of woman and child welfare and disabled welfare to set right the lapses if any.

Taking note of glaring negligence of the officers attached to Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (Cesc) Limited, keeping the street lights in rural areas switched on during day hours too, she instructed the authorities concerned to act on it at the earliest.

The department has to plug the damage on its own, she firmly said.Suneetha Veerappagowda instructed the chief executive officer to write letter to the heads of departments like PWD, irrigation and also transport for skipping the meetings. The junior officers are attending the meetings on behalf of their seniors.
