<p>Dr Narayanaswamy had refused to perform the hernia operation on Gowtham, till his father Gangadhar, a resident of Doddibeedhi in the town, gave him Rs 8,000. Gangadhar had informed reporters of print and electronic media in this regard.<br /><br /> At 11 am, Gangadhar met Dr Narayanaswamy and told him that he could pay only Rs 6,000 as he was a dailywager. </p>.<p>He gave an advance amount of Rs 2,000 an even as the doctor was keeping the money in his pocket, mediapersons arrived at the spot. Narayan-aswamy claimed Gangadhar had given him the money voluntarily. When the patients and the public took Narayanas-wamy to task, he confessed to seeking the bribe and returned the money.</p>
