JOIN USThe man identified only as Ruccess, (aged around 30), managed to obtain a delegate pass to enter the children’s film fest and attended almost every event since November 14 at Shilparamam and also secured accommodation at a five-star hotel at Gachibowli.
Ruccess misused his pass and enjoyed other facilities also after pretending to be an official delegate and also a representative of the Children’s Film Society of India.
“The hotel authorities among others believed his version and no one doubted his credentials as he identified himself as a jury of the film fest,” police said.
“It was four days after the fest began that CFSI authorities raised suspicion about Ruccess when they were making payment to the delegates towards their expenses. Ruccess asked for reimbursement for a flight ticket among other expenses and the officials who verified his pass found that the details submitted by him were not authentic,” police sources explained.
