Last Updated 21 November 2011, 19:53 IST

Justice Ananda Byra Reddy adjourned the hearing with a direction to the respondent, Sirajin Basha, to file objections. During the hearing, the counsel for the former chief minister said that the summons followed a private complaint, which is based on hearsay.

He submitted that though the Governor accorded sanction only for one complaint, several complaints were made against Yeddyurappa. The Court posted the matter for hearing.

Muniraju case

The High Court directed the Lokayukta police not to proceed with its investigation ordered by a local court against BJP MLA Muniraju, following a private complaint, till November 24.
Justice B V Pinto was hearing a petition by Muniraju, seeking a stay on the probe ordered against him by the Lokayukta Special Court.

Muniraju is facing allegations of forging and fabricating documents to secure 22 guntas of land at Kereguddadahalli near Yelahanka belonging to Rajamma, a relative of Puttaswamy, the complainant. Puttaswamy had alleged that Muniraju, in connivance with officials, fabricated documents and misused his position as legislator.
