'Teacher- scientist interaction'

Speaking after inaugurating the programme, Mangalore (Rural) BEO K Rajalakshmi narrated the importance of training the teachers in the era of technological growth. Unless teachers are equipped with the knowledge of new technologies, teachers can not become good teachers.

She stressed the importance of teaching moral and ethical values to the students along with school curriculum. She said that teachers will be benefited through the government- private partnership.

As many as 56 teachers from Mangalore and Bantwal taluks participated in the workshop.

This programme has given a  platform for the teachers to clarify the subject related doubts and enhance their knowledge level. The inaugural programme was presided over by Dr S A Khan, Principal, P A College of Engineering Mangalore. Dr B V Bhat, Dr B K Sarojini, Dr Krishnaprasad, Chandra Shekhar Shetty, Dr R G D’Souza were the resource persons.The programme was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka.
