It is the love to experiment and explore the cook in her that prompted Tina Jadav to give up her software career and start something on her own. Though she did only a
basic course in baking, Tina elevated the art of baking to another level altogether and today, the outlet has developed a taste which is her USP.

And to make it exclusive, ‘Oventreats’ has not opened any outlet anywhere else.
The breads have an unmistakable flavour and the biscuits, buns, cakes and sweets — all have a distinct taste.  ‘Oventreats’ has biscuits that come in a variety of shapes, sizes and the best part is that Tina makes sure that what goes into its making is healthy stuff.
“We use less oil. Wheat bran and oats are generously mashed and used to make
the end result healthy and nutritious, without compromising on the taste,” explains Darshan Jadav.

The puffs are stuffed with paneer, chicken and egg. For chocoholics, the chocolate pastries will surely have you coming back for more.  “The cocoa is fresh and when you bite into it, you are able to feel the taste and the freshness of chocolate. We don’t use any preservatives and nothing is made and later reheated, not even the chocolate sauce. Everything is made afresh. We have an approximate idea of how many
pastries would be sold in a day and we make them accordingly,” says Darshan, who in addition to running his own business, encourages and assists Tina whenever he can grab some time from his busy schedule.    The passion fruit chocolate cake, chocolate truffle with chocolate sauce, chocolate tarts, chocolate raspberry pie and chocolate blueberry pie are all the result of Tina’s experiments.

In biscuits, Tina has just introduced the sugar-free variety, that’s a combination
of wheat, maida and a sugar-free substitute.

There’s also a biscuit that’s made from ragi, wheat, maida, ghee, honey and butter.
“This is my own combination and is something that you don’t get anywhere else,” says Tina.  ‘Oventreats’ has its regulars, most of them college and school-going kids who hop in for a quick something.

Sukhija who often takes her kids for a bite to ‘Oventreats’ after school says, “They offer fresh, healthy snacks. I love chocolate and have tasted almost everything they have to offer in chocolate.”

Ankit Kapasi, who works for a textile company says, “I come here for the blueberry cake and apple pie. I find the prices extremely reasonable and the taste and quality is far superior to what you find in other places.”  ‘Oventreats’ is located at NSG Tower, No 25, Shop No 9, 9th Main, 80 ft Road, HRBR Layout, Near sub-registrar’s office, Banaswadi.
