Control room for monsoon woes

In a press release, the Bangalore Development Authority said that the control room will be open for the citizens to call in case of areas affected by floods and other rain related problems under the Development Authority’s jurisdiction. The BDA has formulated a task force under T D Nanjundappa, Engineering officer for immediate action on public grievance recorded by the control room.

The press release further said that precautionary measures have already been taken such as desilting, pruning of branches and other programmes in co-ordination with the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).

The BDA has also begun periodical inspection of all flyovers constructed by them, following the directions of the commissioner of the agency.
