5-day special session from Sept 9

Addressing reporters, he said the first three days of the special session will be dedicated to rural development. The concept of ‘Pura’ advocated by former President of India A P J Abdul Kalam will be the basis for discussion. The aim is to stop migration of people from rural to urban areas, he added.

The remaining two days will be left for the Opposition, the Congress and the JD(S), to raise any issue of their choice in the interest of State administration, he stated.

The CM had in the past said the special session will be called exclusively to discuss about the alleged scams in the BJP government. But he avoided any mention of scam while announcing the date of the special session.
