PGCET merit list out

An official release said, for MBA, 20,288 students had appeared for the entrance examinations and ranks of 20,148 were announced and 7,861 seats were available for selection. For MCA, 4,587 students had appeared for entrance examinations and ranks of 4,757 have been announced and 1,846 seats were available for selection.

Based on entrance exam
Merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in entrance examination held on July 12, 2009. Further, at the time of seat selection, only on confirmation of the academic eligibility, the candidate will be allowed for seat selection.

Counselling
Candidates are required to appear for the original document verification one day before the day of their scheduled day of counselling.

The candidates are compulsorily required to bring a DD in favour of "Member Secretary, CPAC" payable at Belgaum for Rs 50,000/- towards the tuition fees.

Counselling will be held at two centres, namely, PGCET Cell, "Jnana Sangama", Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore.

Seat selection for MBA is scheduled to start from August 25. No personal intimation will be sent about seat selection date. Candidates are required to attend seat selection as per schedule announced on websites www.vtu.ac.in or http://pgcet.vtu.ac.in
