<p>A 38-year-old man was killed in a road accident on the flyover near Garvebavipalya under the Madiwala traffic police limits in the early hours of Wednesday.<br /><br />According to the police, Pankaj Dai, an accounts manager with a private company in Attibele, was returning to his house at Chandapura around 1 am when a speeding car rammed his bike. He fell down and came under the wheels of the car and died instantly, the police said. </p>.<p>Passersby caught the car driver and handed him over to the police.<br /><br />Woman robbed<br /><br />Ramya Sherali, 30, was threatened by three miscreants with a dagger after barging into her house in Basaveshwaranagar and made away with valuables and cash on Wednesday afternoon. <br /><br />Sherali has lost a gold chain weighing 6 gm, LED TV, mobile phone and Rs 40,000, police said.<br /><br />She had returned home at 2 pm after completing formalities of her child’s school admission. As she opened the house door, three unidentified men barged in and locked the house from within. <br /><br />Threatening her that they would kill her if she screamed, they asked her to hand over cash and valuables.<br /><br />Ramya immediately informed her husband, who was away at work. <br /><br />He, in turn, called the police, who rushed to collect clues about the miscreants. </p>
