Engineers, MBAs join as sub-inspectors

The Passing-Out Parade of the 35th batch of probationary SIs was held at the Police Training College in Jharoda Kalan.

This batch includes 68 women sub-inspectors. Fifteen probationary sub-inspectors are management graduates, 14 engineers, seven lawyers and three pharmacy graduates.

Among them, 52 are post- graduate in arts, 10 post-graduate in science, four post-graduate in commerce, two post- graduate in education and one graduate in education.

Commissioner of Police B K Gupta reviewed the parade and emphasised upon 'proactive role of police in protecting the weaker section of society and people-friendly policing'.

There are 106 probationary SIs from Delhi, 79 from Haryana, 76 from UP, 56 from Rajasthan, 15 from Bihar, four from Madhya Pradesh, two each from Jharkhand and Himachal Pardesh, one each from West Bengal, Uttrakhand, Orissa and Punjab.
