<p>The drive was carried out at footpaths and open land near poultry market of Gazipur where people have encroached on land to put up shops.<br /><br />“We have removed encroachments of 60 temporary shops made by bamboos, tin-shade and wooden structure running illegally at footpaths and open land near poultry market of Gazipur,” an MCD spokesperson said. <br /><br />The drive was carried out by Veterinary, Health and General Licensing departments of MCD. <br />During the drive, trade articles related to veterinary, health and general licensing departments were also seized and deposited in their respective stores. <br /><br />A demolition drive was also carried out in Sadar Paharganj and Central Zones taking action against six properties. The properties were targeted in Qutab Road, Roshanara Road and Vishwakarma Colony.</p>
