Welcome to 3D gaming, and this action sequence was straight out of “Gears of War-3.”

Ramandeep finally emerged the best amongst 250 serious gamers and 800 amateurs over three days in the LG Cinema 3D Game Festival – a unique and first-of-its-kind initiative that brought all game buffs under one roof and provided them with 3D enviornment.

“It was an amazing experience, sometimes a bit scary as well. It took me some time to get myself to understand that I am merely playing a game and not living that life. Like when I was doing a flip jump back, I almost thought I had popped out of window,” says Ramandeep, who has been gaming online for quite some time now with his friends and also seen a lot of 3D movies.

“It feels great to win, in fact this was the first time ever, I entered a competition. I came to know about this through Facebook and I thought it was great concept,” adds Ramandeep, who is yet to make complete plans, apart from throwing the usual bash to friends, to spend his Rs one lakh prize money.

Other than Ramandeep, Karan Vohra won himself a 32-inch LED television for securing second position.

The three-day championship here saw a total footfall of 4,000 participants and was simultaneously held across four other metros of Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. The Cinema 3D Game Festival was divided into three zones to cater to all sections.

The first zone was for serious gamers who competed against each other by playing ‘Gears of War-3’ in Cinema 3D. The second zone has multiple consoles with popular games such as ‘Disney Advertureland,” ‘Forza 4’, ‘Dance Central’, ‘Kinect Sports-2’ for amateurs while the third zone had Cinema 3D TV experience zone showcasing the revolutionary FPR Technology.

Actress Neha Dhupia, the brand ambassador for the event, feels that 3D gaming will be a huge hit amongst the current generation and this championship is merely an effort to collaborate with such enthusiasts.

“The LG Cinema 3D Game Festival is an exciting and innovative initiative, and provides a platform for gaming enthusiasts across the country to come together and experience the never-before-3D thrills in gaming,” she says.
