<p>"(The proposed) Karnataka Resident Data Hub will link all databases of Government," Principal Secretary, e-Governance Department, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science and Technology Department M N Vidyashankar told PTI here.<br /><br />The government has also proposed registration of any property from anywhere in the state with the Stamps and Registration Department without the owner having to visit the local registrar office.<br /><br />"The project which has already been started in Bangalore city will be extended throughout the state soon," Vidyashankar said.<br /><br />A state service delivery gateway is also on the anvil, he said. It means there would be a single window for 'G2C' (Government to Citizen) and 'G2B' (Government to Business community) services, with availability of all forms online.<br /><br />"Now the citizens approach the Government officers either through post or in person for information under RTI. A system is being developed where a citizen can file his request through a phone call or to integrated portal of RTI and Public Grievances," Vidyashankar said.<br /><br />According to him, the state government under a project has made available an e-procurement platform to enable all its procurements to be made through the electronic mode.<br /><br />"Being a web-based solution, anybody can participate without any hindrance or entry barriers," he said. <br /><br />"Even though it started in six establishments on a pilot basis, this scheme, during the last three and half years, has been extended to 161 departments by the end of October 31 2011," Vidyashankar said.<br /><br />Procurement to the tune of Rs 85,077 crore has been made through this platform.<br /><br />As much as 90 per cent of the state government departments have started using this platform.<br /><br />The key departments include Public Works Department, Bangalore Development Authority, Irrigation Department, Rural Development and Panchayath Raj, Bruhath Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (city corporation).<br /><br />Even Public Sector undertakings like Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Food Corporation of India are also using this platform.</p>
