A Bench of Justices B N Agarwal and G S Singhvi directed the Bombay High Court to decide by 14 September writ petition filed by Sterry, challenging the cancellation of his PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) card.
According to Sterry, the cancellation of the PIO card which would eventually lead to his deportation, has been done by the authority at the behest of his estranged wife who allegedly wanted to settle personal scores with him.
The estranged couples' divorce proceedings are pending before a court in Goa.
