<p>Speed star Sandra Bullock has revealed that she was initially wary of working with best friend Ryan Reynolds in romantic comedy The Proposal.<br /><br />The 45-year-old actress plays the character of Margaret Tate, the hard-nosed editor, who drives her assistant (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her so she can avoid deportation.<br /><br />Reynolds, who is married to actress Scarlett Johansson, has been friends with Bullock for last nine years but it for the first time that they worked together, reported a publication.<br /><br />“The first day we got a little worried it wouldn’t work, but thankfully each day just got better and better. We just sort of relaxed and concentrated on the work, because Ryan and I work the same way and we worry the same way. We stress out, we want the scene to be better, we work on the weekends. <br /><br />And if you do comedy and you fail, there is no one there to help. No music, no editing,” Bullock said.<br /><br />The actress is also happy that the 32-year-old Canadian actor is now getting to play lead roles in Hollywood. <br /><br />“I was so happy to go to work with Ryan, and he is an amazing man. I am so glad he gets to be the leading man now,” she said.</p>
