In a continued effort to thrust the ouster of jailed Indian Olympic Association president Suresh Kalmadi and his aides, Clean Sports India (CSI) has asked the international governing body to take necessary action against the tainted officials.

In a letter addressed to the International Olympic Committee, the forum floated by former internationals like hockey Olympian Pargat Singh and former athletics stars Ashwini Nachappa and Vandana Rao, insisted that Kalmadi’s revival to the chair will not be acceptable.

Nachappa, said it was high time the IOA initiated action against the accused. “Somebody needs to take up the issue, after all there is an ethics commission to look into such matters. IOA has not taken any action, so we have written to the governing body and I am happy they have acknowledge our concern,” Ashwini said.
