The incident took place on Monday afternoon. According to sources, Sahel (21), had gone to Thimmanapalli dam in Srinivaspur taluk, along with his friends. While swimming, Sahel unknowingly moved towards deep waters and got drowned. The local people tried to fish out the body, but in vain.
Later on, Gounipalli police and fire fighting squad launched a team to fish out the body. They searched for several hours and finally, the body was found only by Monday night.
A post mortem was conducted at the Government General Hospital in Srinivaspur on Tuesday and the body was handed over to the family members. The family members were highly inconsolable. A case has been registered in this regard.
