Jain University is all set to host its ‘CMS Festival- 2012’, which is one of the longest inter-collegiate festivals in India.

The festival includes theatre, media, culture, and management programmes, and is being held from January 6 to February 2. In addition to this, a final programme will be held in Italy later in February. More than 75 colleges and about 5,000 to 8,000 students from across the country are expected to participate in it. ‘CMS Festival- 2012’ is an amalgamation of four different fests — Abhinaya, ‘Threshold’, Lasya and ‘Precipice’.

Abhinaya, the national theatre festival, includes both college participants as well as other non-professional groups, who will showcase their talents in the form of short plays in Hindi and Kannada. It is scheduled to be held between January 6 and January 8. ‘Threshold’, which is the first year management fest, is organised exclusively for BBM students and includes different competitions and events. It will be held on January 31. Lasya, the cultural fest, is to be held on February 1 and 2, and is the perfect opportunity for students to show off their diverse talents.

‘Precipice’ is a week-long programme, which is held in Milan, Italy, and which is meant for the management students. It is scheduled to be held between February 18 and 23.
