Next Paryaya seer to arrive at Udupi on January 2

He will be taken in a grand procession prior to civic reception

The Sode Vadiraj Mutt’s Vishwavallabha Theertha who will ascend the Sarvajna peeta will reach Udupi after pre paryaya paryatana on January 2 at 4 pm.

Under the leadership of Paryaya Welcome Committee President Dr V S Acharya, the seer will be taken out in a procession from Jodukatte. The procession will pass through taluk office-Diana Circle-Koladapete before entering Car Street. After having the darshan of Chandramaulishwara, Anantheshwara and Sri Krishna temples, the seer will enter Sode Vadiraj Mutt. 

The civic reception for the seer will be held under the presidentship of Shiroor Mutt seer. There will be flute recitation by Praveen Godkhindi and others on the occasion.

‘Horekanike’

The horekanike to be offered to the Paryaya mahotsava will be held from December 3 to 16. The devotees will offer horekanike for the Paryaya.

The horekanike procession will be held from Govinda Kalyana Mantapa from Ajjarakadu and will pass through taluk office, Diana Circle, K M Road, Sankrit College.

Cultural programmes

Cultural programmes will be held in front of Pejawar Mutt from January 3 to 17.

The Shiroor seer will be felicitated on January 17 at 8 am. Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, District-in-Charge Minister Dr V S Acharya will take part.

There would be fire crackers show at the parking area in Rajangann on January 17 at 10 pm.

From January 18 to 25, there will be cultural programmes by well known artistes at
8.30 pm.

Sarvajna Peeta

Vishwavallabha Theertha will ascend the Sarvajna Peeta on January 18 at 4 am.

A colourful procession with cultural troupes, tableux from Jodukatte to Car Street will be held on the occasion.

After having the darshan of Chandramaulishwara, Anantheshwara, Sri Krishna Mukhyaprana, the seer will ascend the throne.

The Paryaya Mahotsava will conclude with private Darbar.

‘Paryaya Prashasthi’ will be conferred on nine achievers on the occasion.
