Rs 10 to take water bottle inside zoo

If you are eager to dispose off the water bottle after emptying it at Zoo, it’s not allowed henceforth. The zoo authorities have fixed a refundable deposit of Rs 10 on every bottle carried inside.

A release from the office of the executive director of the Zoo states that the idea is to prevent littering of bottles by visitors. This follows a order of making zoo plastic-free zone.
As per the recent order, carrying plastic covers, bottles and containers is banned.

Plastic water bottles brought by visitors from outside will be affixed with a sticker at the entrance as an identity for carrying such bottles inside the Zoo for which a sum of Rs 10 will be collected as deposit.

Similar stickers will be affixed on food items and beverages sold at the stalls inside and Rs 10 colleced from stall operators. Visitors should pay Rs 10 in addition to the items. The amount of Rs10 will be refunded to visitors at the exit gate on surrendering empty bottles, covers and packs.
