One of them a boy was locked in a car garage and was found in pathetic state as no one tended to his basic needs.

The children were locked by St John’s Ambulance organisation at Subhash Nagar. Of the three children, two are girls. They have identified as Shivu, Sangeeta and Rohini who are aged between 10 and 11 years.

The district was recently in the news over the bonded labour incident at Hangarahalli which had shocked many.

Sub-Divisional Officer (Mandya) S Rangappa rushed to the spot along with officers after learning about the incident and directed the officials to shift the children to St Home School, another organisation at Koppa in Maddur taluk of the district.

Rangappa said that during his visit he found the children to be physically weak. All the children were treated at district hospital, he added.

Rangappa said that the attendant who took care of the children was absent from three days and the people who ran the organisation were above 70 years old. According to Supreme Court order it is an offence.

However, no case has been booked against the organisation, he added.
Rangappa said that the organisation wasn’t recognised from Handicap Welfare Department or Women and Children Department.
