<p>Over the years, several of the young artists featured in this festival, have gone on to make a prominent name for themselves including Ustad Rashid Khan, the Gundecha Brothers, Kaushiki Chakraborti, Sanjiv Abhyankar, the Bangash Brothers and Uday Bhawalkar.<br /><br />This year's concerts will feature three young vocalists and instrumental recitals on sitar, shehnai and violin. The festival opens with a shehnai recital by Vinayak Devadiga on August 29 at 6.15 pm. <br /><br />This will be followed by Pallab Das, a disciple of Ustad Rahim Fahimuddin Dagar, presenting a Dhrupad recital. <br /><br />The concert on August 30 will witness Dattatreya Velankar presenting a vocal recital at 10 am, and Shakir Khan performing a sitar recital at 11.45 pm. <br /><br />At 6 pm, Srivani Jade will render a vocal recital and at 7.15 pm, Sangeeta Shankar, daughter and disciple of N Rajam, will present a violin recital.
