Take MI5's new online test to become a spook

Want to be a spook? Take MI5's new online recruitment test as a first step. The British spy agency is offering people the chance to see if they have what it takes to be an intelligence officer.

And if you do well in the 15-minute online test, there's a chance that you may be invited by the security services to apply for a job as an MI5 intelligence officer, the 'Daily Mail' reported.
In the online exercise, one is confronted with the sort of scenario faced by desk officers every day.

In this case, a number of known foreign spies working in London have been ordered home with immediate effect, and in suspicious circumstances. MI5 is seeking to find out why and if there is any potential threat to Britain's interests.

The person who takes the test is given case files on two of the agents, information from an undercover agent and newspaper and police reports. At the end, there are four question to answer -- worth a maximum of eight points.

If one scores well, there's a website link to MI5's 'How To Apply section'.
MI5 describes the job of Intelligence Officer as "one of the most demanding, stimulating roles you could take on and also one of the most rewarding."

Its website says: "An incisive intellect and finely balanced judgement are essential, as are outstanding verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to demonstrate resilience and the ability to cope with setbacks, as well as the ability to work well in a team and quickly establish rapport with a wide range of people.

"Analytical and highly organised, you will have a superb eye for detail, and the perfect balance of sensitivity and confidence. Discretion and integrity are also crucial qualities."
