Besides, the party has sought the dismissal of ‘tainted’ Social Welfare Minister D Sudhakar and Housing Minister V Somanna, who was defeated in the recent byelection.

In a five-page memorandum submitted to the Governor by Congress leaders led by KPCC President R V Deshpande, it is alleged that Yeddyurappa has recently stated that iron ore worth thousands of crores is being looted in Bellary and that the officials have not taken any action to prevent it. The statement establishes that CM and his Cabinet ministers have failed in performing their duties, the memorandum stated.

The party alleged that the CBI has filed a charge sheet against Sudhakar for committing a bank fraud. “If the minister is allowed to continue in the office, he may try to tamper the records,” the memorandum stated.

The recent byelection result of Govindrajnagar seat is a mandate against Somanna. But he has not resigned so far. The chief minister too is dodging on dropping both the ministers, the party alleged.
