JOIN USA techie was held for stealing LCD monitor from a Volvo bus on Tuesday.
The Upparpet police arrested Sagar Reddy, 25, a resident of Mathikere and an employee of a private firm at Bagmane Tech Park in Byrasandra. Reddy, a MSc graduate, is a native of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Reddy had gone to Electronics City to attend an interview and while returning, boarded a Volvo bus plying on the Electronics City-KBS route at Bommanahalli. After the bus arrived at Kempegowda Bus Stand, the driver and conductor, as a routine work, inspected the bus and realised that one of the electronic gadgets used for browsing was missing. On enquiring, Reddy feigned ignorance. However, he spilled the beans when cornered.
On reaching the police station, Reddy begged for forgiveness and requested the DCP not to register a case as it would spoil his career. Incidentally, in a span of five days, nearly half-a-dozen gadgets have been found missing from Volvo buses plying on the route.
