Jewellery exhibitions

South India’s largest wedding and jewellery exhibition, ‘Asia Wedding Fair 2012’ and the ‘6th South India Jewellery Show’ are on at Palace Grounds. The exhibitions are all set to attract the visitors with their finest collections.

‘Asia Wedding Fair 2012’, which was inaugurated on Friday by beauty queen Nisha Barahmand, has on display  products from more than 200 leading brands from all over the world, creating the most glamourous and spectacular platform for all wedding requisites.

There are stalls showcasing a dazzling array of jewellery, bridal wear, designer wear, ethnic wear for men, ready-made blouses, accessories, lifestyle requirements and beauty services, travel and honeymoon packages, chocolates and gifting items.

Most of the clothing brands and beauty-related services offer great discount to the customers. Payal Agarwal from Mumbai, who has put up a designer footwear stall, is hopeful of getting a good response. “I have displayed my creations in many exhibitions here and have received a huge response. The footwear collection will definitely attract the bride with its intricate designs and bright colours,” she says.

Organised by Introductions Trade Shows Pvt Ltd, the fair presents a perfect wedding atmosphere. The fashion show will be held on February 4, 8.30 pm to showcase the bridal collection from leading brands. The exhibition is on at Palace Grounds (Gayatri Vihar entrance), Mekhri Circle till February 6 from 10.30 am to 8 pm.

‘6th South India Jewellery Show’ (SIJS), being held at Tripura Vasini entrance, is showcasing the latest collection from jewellers from South India in over 100 stalls. The exhibition has every variety of gold, silver, diamond, platinum and gems and stone-studded jewellery as well as state-of-the-art machinery products. “The show acts as a single platform for manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers to interact, build new business contacts and establish long-term business opportunities,” says one of the organisers.

 “It is a very special and premiere trade show. It is the only one-of-its-kind event for the jewellery sector in South India. It is an important platform for direct interaction with the manufacturers and offers a number of business benefits,” says Venkatesh Babu, president, Jewellers’ Association, Bangalore.

‘Mangal Gems’, a stall owned by Vishnu Agarwal from Jaipur, houses a big collection of neck pieces and earrings which comprises 50,000 varieties of stones. There are educational and informative seminars and panel discussions on various topics that have tangible benefits for the trade at the exhibition.

Organised by ‘The Art of Jewellery’, the exhibition is on till February 5.
