'Strictly implement Akshara Dasoha scheme'

The officers concerned have been directed to implement (mid-day meal) Akshara Dasoha scheme without fail, said Manjula Venkatesh, Zilla Panchayat  president.

She was speaking after visit to schools in the district to inspect implementation of mid-day meal scheme there. She spoke to the press persons after her visit to Kamala Mahadi school.

“If any school fails to implement the scheme or any loopholes are found the Block Education Officer, Headmaster, teachers and Akshara Dasoha officers will be taken to task and action will be taken against them,” she warned.

“I have visited Government Urdu Higher Primary School in Millath Nagar and Rehmath Nagar. Information about facilities and  problems in implementing the scheme, has been collected from he teachers and students,” she added.

“After the visit it has been found that there is lack of teachers and classrooms in these schools. Action will be taken soon, to solve these problems. By the end of February second week, all the schools will be provided with kitchen facility. pending work of 30 kitchens fro different schools will be completed soon,” said Akshara Dasoha officer K S Nagaraja gowda. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan resource person G Srinivas was present.
