Unit 6 of the Raichur Thermal Power Station (RTPS) was shut down on Friday following a technical glitch.
Power generation was stopped after the leakage was found in a vacuum pipe, sources said. The plant, which generates 1,400 MW of power, has a reserve of 30,000 metric tonnes of coal.
