Americans complete formalities

United States continued with their demolition act, crushing Switzerland 5-0 in the Davis Cup World Group first round clash on Sunday.

Having already clinched the tie 3-0 following Mike Bryan and Mardy Fish’s four-set win over Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka on Saturday, the Americans did not step off the accelerator as Ryan Harrison and John Isner cruised home in style.
While Harrison beat Michael Lammer 7-6, 7-6, Isner sealed it with a 6-3, 6-4 defeat of Marco Chiudinelli.
