<p>A motorcyclist died on the spot near Kothagere in Kunigal taluk on Saturday, after a tractor rammed into his bike.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Anandaiah, 56, was a resident of Kallupalya. He was on his way to Kunigal when the accident occured. <br /><br />The dead was a close relative of former legislator D Nagarajaiah and BJP leader D Krishnakumar. The leaders sought a postmortem of the body at the earliest. However, lack of power supply at the mortuary led to tense moments.<br /><br />Toddler falls into canal<br /><br />A two-year old child died after she fell into the main canal of Boranakanive Reservoir in Jadyappanapalya at Huliyar on Saturday.<br /><br />The victim, Usha, was the daughter of Shivanna and was playing near the reservoir, when she accidentally fell into it.<br /><br />Ironically, Usha’s brother three-year-old Jadeswamy had also fallen into the same canal last year. <br /><br />Residents staged a protest near the canal demanding that a protection wall be constructed to avoid such accidents. </p>
