The Lokayukta police on Tuesday submitted  to the Special Lokayukta Court, the status report on the investigation against BJP legislator Muniraju S of Dasarahalli constituency.

Lokayukta police have taken up an investigation against Muniraju on the orders of the Court following a private complaint filed by Puttaswamy accusing the MLA of grabbing lands in Kereguddadahalli. The police have been directed to submit the final report on March 5.

According to the complainant, the legislator fabricated documents to usurp one acre 15 guntas of land of his (Puttaswamy’s) mother-in-law, Mallamma. Puttaswamy had also named Ranganath, then tahsildar of Bangalore North, Suresh, a Revenue Inspector and two more persons - Parameshwarappa and Rajamma - as the accused.

He had also submitted evidence of a ‘sting operation’ on revenue officials, who supposedly revealed the modus operandi and the involvement of the MLA.

A transcript of the recording had also been submitted to the Court.
