Bride flees with cash on 'suhagraat'

Mirroring a Bollywood story, a man was duped by his bride. She looted him on their wedding night  and escaped through a window.

It began when Mukesh Chaudhary from Champapura tehsil in Jaipur noticed a missed call on his phone, a few days back. He called back on the number and Hansa answered the phone. They started having long phone conversations and went on dates. Mukesh and Hansa had fallen in ‘love’.

Within a short time their relatiopnship reached its pinnacle and they decided to get married. The marriage was solemnised in the traditional way and the bride was taken to the bridegroom’s home.

After the customary rituals, relatives led the newlyweds into their room for their ‘first night’ together. As per plan, Hansa asked Mukesh to leave the room so she could change. Mukesh obliged, but when he returned Hansa was not around. He  found the window at the back open. A suspicious Mukesh searched the cupboards of the room and found all  cash and jewellery missing.

Mukesh called the police, who are now looking for the woman with the help of photos taken at the wedding.

According to police, Hansa is already married and hatched this plan with the connivance of her first husband. She has conned a number of people in the past, in a similar way.
