No power in the corridors of power!

When Vidhana Soudha  staff  came to the offices in the morning, they found to their utter dismay that there was no electricity and none of the five elevators were operating.

Vidhana Soudha has two separate 11 KV feeders that supply power. At any given time one feeder will be operational, while the other is used as a standby. Besides, there is also a high power generator to ensure uninterrupted power supply to this  sensitive zone.

Sources said one of the feeders stopped functioning on Sunday and power was being supplied using only one feeder for the last two days. “To repair the damaged feeder, we had no option but to shut down the entire supply system. Now the system is in place,” sources added.
