Residents recently manhandled a valve man at Yeshwantpur and a water inspector on Magadi Road.
Narasimhaiah and Krishnamurthy, both attached to the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), were beaten up and threatened by the people.
Enraged over low pressure of water flow, residents of Yeshwantpur reportedly assaulted Narasimhaiah, causing injury in his head.
The residents on Magadi Road threatened Krishnamurthy for disconnecting unauthorised water connections. He was reportedly warned not to enter the area. The residents alleged the water inspector collected arrears of Rs 32,000 from consumers who had unauthorised water connections.
The BWSSB Employees’ Association has said the water board will take legal action against the residents.
