Students' experiments leave visitors spellbound in S'Ghatta

The National Science Day programme, organised at the Kuvempu Shatamanotsava Government Model Primary School at Cheemangala in the taluk, had a deep impact on students and visitors.

The programme was inaugurated by placing a ball on the fountain using Bernouli’s principle. Students who conducted various science experiments, also explained them to other students, teachers and visitors. The science experiments conducted by the Class V, VI and VII students drew a lot of attention.

The students explained Laws of Reflection, Conclave and Convex reflections and others through experiments.

Teacher Meluru Ramakrishna conducted the miracle busting programme. Ramakrishna with the help of scientific knowledge busted many miracles and gave scientific explanation to superstitions.

The conducting of science day in rural area schools, will widen the students’ knowledge about scientists and their achievements. The programme will generate  a lot of curiosity in children about science and experiments and will also inspire them to be scientists, said BEO N Srikanta who was chief guest.

Their are high chances of presence of children who can achieve extraordinary things in the rural areas. Programmes like will benefit such students, he added.
