JOIN USTrouble erupted in the Central Prisons on Saturday, when two undertrials attempted to attack each other over a petty issue at Parappana Agrahara.
The prisons staff rushed to the spot, pacified them and sent them to their respective cells.
According to sources in the prisons, Imran and Mohammed Syed alias Laddu, both rowdy-sheeters, picked up a quarrel over a petty issue. Imran allegedly attacked Syed with a razor.
Syed managed to escape and hit back at Imran. The prisons staff rushed to the spot hearing the noise. They separated both of them, issued strict warnings and sent them to their cells, sources said.
A top official of the prisons said it was a minor incident as they tried to manhandle each other. The staff brought the situation under control, he
stated.
