Students' literary meet in M'lore on March 24

Mangalore University PG Alumni Association in collaboration with Kannada Sangha, University College, Mangalore, will host the Mangalore University-level 8th students literary conference, at Raveendra Kala Bhavan, Hampankatta on March 24.

According to a press release, litterateur and journalist Jogi will inaugurate the conference at 10 am. Mangalore University Registrar Prof K Chinnappa Gowda will preside. University College Principal Dr H R Lakshminarayana Bhat will be the chief guest. Kendra Sahitya Akademi Book Awardee Dr H R Vishwas will deliver the valedictory address .

There will be different sessions as part of the conference. The paper presentation session will be chaired by litterateur Usha Kattemane, while the story session will be chaired by Devu Hanehalli, Programme Executive, All India Radio, Karwar. Poet Dr Ananda Rugvedi will chair the poets’ meet. The papers, stories and poems to be presented during the conference have been selected through a varsity-level competition, and the prize winners will present their write-ups during different sessions.

The topics for the paper presentation session will be ‘Dr Chandrashekhar Kambarara Kritigalalli Samajika Prastutate’ and ‘Samajika Jaalataanagala Suliyalli Mareyaguttiuva Manaveeya Sampandhagalu’.
