The victim had borrowed Rs 3,000 from one Gunda, but failed to repay when Gunda demanded the sum on Friday. Gunda assaulted Joseph and his friend Jeetendra with a lethal weapon. While former was killed on the spot, Jeetendra sustained grievous injuries and is battling for life at a private hospital. Chamarajpet police have registered a case. A manhunt has been launched to nab the assailant.
