Two students hailing from Bihar were today arrested here for allegedly criminally intimidating a person with a country made pistol, police said.

A complaint received from one Ranjit Kumar alleged that Pradosh Pandey, Shekar Anand, Sudher Singh and Rahul - all employers of his steward-brother, had threatened to kill him, when he asked for the salary due to his brother, a police release said.

Acting on the complaint, police registered a case under various IPC sections including 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint) and under the Indian Arms Act, 1959 and arrested Pradosh Pandey and Shekar Anand for "criminally intimidating" Ranjit with Pandey's country made pistol. The weapon was seized along with four bullets, it added.

Pandey and Anand are second and third year engineering students respectively in a private university on Old Mahabalipuram Road, it said.

The arrested were later remanded to judicial custody, it said.
