An MBA student here today allegedly committed suicide demanding separate state for Telangana, police said.
Bojja Naik (22) studying in New Science College poured petrol on him and set himself ablaze at the college auditorium at Subedari, Hanumakonda, they said.
He was immediately shifted to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.Tension prevailed in the city after the incident.
