Addressing reporters, he criticised Yeddyurappa, saying, “Realisation has dawned upon our CM in China, on the development of rural Karnataka. Sitting there, he is thinking about rural development in Karnataka.”

Criticising Yeddyurappa’s views on realising Gandhiji’s dream of Gram Swarajya and former president A P J Abdul Kalam’s vision of PURA (Providing Urban Amenities in Rural Areas), Kumaraswamy said, “What he (the CM) needs to do is implement the schemes under the Suvarna Grama Yojana, the State Agriculture Policy, 2006 and the plan prepared by the M R Sreenivasamurthy committee during the JD(S)-BJP coalition rule.”

Flaying Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani’s statement about attracting substantial foreign investment, Kumaraswamy questioned, “When the Government cannot provide power to Bangalore city, where is the question of wooing industries?.” The BJP government must place before the public its achievements in the last 15 months of its rule, he demanded.
