The Bhartiya Janata Party is leaving no stone unturned to grab voters attention in the municipal polls and plans to use every possible medium to put across its point.

Launching the party’s election campaign, Delhi BJP President Vijender Gupta on Thursday said that apart from using the conventional methods like hoardings, outdoor publicity, radio jingles and TV advertisements, the party will extensively make use of social media to get in touch with the voters.

Keeping pace with the changing times, the party has started e-campaigning.

“Internet being a vibrant media these days can’t be ignored. We have engaged with at least 150 websites to highlight our Municipal Corporation of Delhi achievements
over last five years,” said Gupta.

Earlier, during the preview of a street play on the lawns of the party office, Vani Tripathi, BJP national secretary and convener of campaign programmes, said that party has roped in at least three dozen theatre artistes who will stage  street plays across the city in the days to come.

“Street plays put across messages to the common man in their own language with a mix of satire and humour and hence people feel an instant connection this way.

They will be conducted in all the 272 wards highlighting price rise, dismal law and order situation and corruption ,” said Tripathi.
