Condemning PU lecturers for staging indefinite stir for their demands — boycotting evaluation of PU answer scripts — students under the banner of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat staged a protest in Hassan on Monday.

The protesters claimed that they were not against the protest by lecturers, but they should understand that they were putting the future of thousands of students at stake by boycotting evaluation.

The protest has caused anxiousness among students and parents. They urged the lecturers to withdraw the protest in the interest of students.

Q-paper leak

PUC is an important stage in a student’s life. Already the question paper leak has caused enough trouble. Now, the lecturers’ stir has confused the students.

The CET exams are slated to be held on May 5 and 6 and the boycott has turned into a big headache. The lecturers should fight for their cause after evaluation works are over, they stressed.

If the government fails to provide immediate solution the ABVP will stage a state-wide protest, they warned. ABVP state joint secretary Naresh, members Mahipaul, Rohit, Gautam and others were present.

A protest march was taken out from Hemavathy circle and proceeded to deputy commissioner’s office and submitted a memorandum to the DC.
