Man held for posing as Home Minister's son to watch IPL match

 A 23-year-old man has been arrested for posing as the son of Karnataka Home Minister R Ashok and availing a VIP pass to watch an IPL match at the Chinnaswamy stadium here, police said today.

Umesh posed himself as the son of the Home Minister and approached the sponsors and police officials to avail VIP passes worth Rs 55,000 each for himself and his friend Varun and watched the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals on April 15, a police release said.

Both were arrested yesterday and remanded to judicial custody.Meanwhile, another person was also arrested on April 16 for watching the same match on a "fake 500 rupee ticket".

He has also been remanded to judicial custody, the release added.
